With evidence given every year, Razer has turned out to be different and has introduced Project Linda, a notebook that will be powered by its latest smartphone, the Razer Phone. Project Linda brings together in one machine the best of both worlds, creating a laptop that is based on the smartphone. Being more than a simple extension of the smartphone, this concept will give users the best user experience, ensuring a complete and always ready to use the computer. In fact, all the processing power of this set is on the phone, which can be more or less powerful, depending on the equipment that is associated. The big advantage, compared to other ideas that have appeared in the past, is the integration of these two components, with the smartphone being embedded in the trackpad zone and used as a simple mouse.

The computer is made of machined aluminium, 15mm thick, and weighs only 1.25kg. To integrate the Razer Phone into this casing, it just needs to be placed on its new base and pressed a button, which will connect the USB-C port and activate the 13-inch main screen. The complement of this chassis is made with the presence of an additional 200GB disk, a 3.5-inch jack, a USB-A port, a USB-C port, a 720p webcam and a dual microphone. Of course, with this extra space, an extra battery is also present. Feeding this whole set is Android, in a version adapted and prepared for the larger screens, and can be used as a work or fun machine. This concept is not new, but now it takes a new shape with seamless integration of the smartphone into the computer’s chassis. For now, it is just a prototype and that Razer intends to grow. Maybe one day, very close, Project Linda will become a reality. So, what do you think about this extraordinary laptop which simply makes your Android smartphone as its heart?
