Microsoft Just Launched Its New Gaming App For Android And iOS
Rumors said that the tech giant Microsoft was interested in expanding its well-known gaming platform, Xbox Live to more platforms, and it’s true, as it will offer the service for both the iOS and Android devices. In addition, the company, of course, the tech giant Microsoft will bring its Party Chat and matchmaking system to multiplayer gaming on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch as well. The new Xbox Live SDK will allow the user to sign in with their Xbox Gamertag on an Android device or an iPhone, as it is up to the developer to implement this. This will allow you to synchronize achievements, Gamerscore and game statistics as we do with the Play Games in Android. Moreover, we will not be able to use Xbox Live on the Nintendo Switch, at least not for now, but the tech giant Microsoft is open to the idea. As the tech giant Microsoft would also like to bring its service to the PS4 as well, but the fact is that it would depend on Sony’s approval. Meanwhile, some Xbox Live features have become independent to reach more platforms including Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, Android and web. They are part of the PlayFab, backend service for online games. PlayFab Matchmaking combines players in multiplayer titles, and it is based on Xbox Live matchmaking. In turn, the PlayFab Party is a voice and chat service adapted from Xbox Party Chat. All of this is part of the Game Stack, which brings together all its gaming platforms, including DirectX, PlayFab and Xbox Live itself into one ecosystem. They can be connected through Azure, the well-known cloud service of the tech giant Microsoft. Hence, the tech giant Microsoft makes it clear that the Game Stack does not require the use of Azure: it is compatible with any cloud platform, just like PlayFab. The goal is for more developers to adopt the Minecraft strategy, which is available on about ten different platforms. So, what do you think about this?
