He created a keylogger that can record each and every single keystroke on a victim’s computer and he sold the keylogger to more than 3,000 people who infected more than 16,000 victims with it. The details about this incidence were revealed in a press release from the US Department of Justice. He was pleaded guilty to the charges of encouraging computer intrusions. Zachary Shames will be sentenced on June 16 with a maximum penalty of 10 years. Right now, Zachary Shames was a student of James Madison University. He claimed that he developed the first spyware program in the year 2013 when he was a high-school student in North Virginia. After that, he continued to modify and market the spyware from his college dorm. The actual malware that Zachary Shames promoted was referred as “malicious keylogger software.” However, the malware appears to be called “Limitless Keylogger Pro” as reported by Motherboard.
